Matt Anstey spent 10 years in the Civil Engineering field designing roads and serving in many areas of Christian youth work. He was called into pastoral ministry on the Gold Coast for 7 years working with youth and young adults while studying a Bachelor of Theology. They sensed God calling their family into a different role and in 2013, moved up to Ipswich to pastor at Kruger.
Matt is married to his wonderful wife, Kirsten, and they have three kids; Micaela, Leah and Simeon. He loves spending time with them in the pool, on their bikes, watching their sports or playing games together. Outside of church and family, he loves having a laugh with friends, watching the footy (NRL or rugby), going for a run and playing touch footy.
Matt’s heart is to see people grow in their faith in Jesus and is especially passionate about making the gospel message connect to people from all ages and backgrounds of life.
Matt Anstey is a member of the Queensland Baptists board and senior pastor of Kruger Parade Baptist Church
